Welcome to PS46Q Rockstar
Aout the Rockstar Experience:
PS46 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students are welcome to become a part of the Rockstar. There is an audition requirement.
It does not cost money to join. Students who decide to join Rockstar must make a full commitment to the modern band. This means they should attend rehearsals each week (Tuesday at 1:35-2:10 pm) and bring their best behavior and a positive attitude to class.
The audition process:
Audition will be limited to 3rd .4th and 5th grade students.
Students interested in the program will fill out a ”Rockstar Audition Form” and return it to Mrs. Kang by September 14th.
If students do not submit a form, they will not be allowed to audition.
The Rockstar is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th Gr. students regardless of their musical knowledge, but they must be able to demonstrate the ability to produce rhythm patterns.
Once all auditions have been completed, Mrs. Kang will notify parents of their child’s status. Notification will be sent through a hard copy letter sent home with the student’s regular classroom materials. Check the folders and backpacks.
Please note there will be 2 forms of status: “Rockstar Members” or “Was Not Selected This Year”
